Charco Hotel - Colonia del Sacramento

The food at Charco Hotel was fantastic! The poke bowl and beet hummus are a must-try.

I was appalled by the lack of attentiveness from the staff. While some were friendly, our requests often felt brushed aside. The dining experience was chaotic, with our breakfast arriving all at once. The noise from outside was constant, ruining any chance of relaxation in our room.

As for me, the location is marvellous and fantastic, directly in centre of historical area. The rooms here are big size with a balcony.

The restaurant could use more diverse vegetarian options!!! The lack of a pool or relaxation area outside left us feeling a bit disappointed despite the pleasant garden!!!

Ideal hotel, the stay was absolutely amazing, MAGNIFICENT location to everything in old town Colonia. The room was comfortable and with nice beds. Climate control, a private safe and multi-channel TV were important for us. The property was located in the middle of the city.

The cute atmosphere created by Bruno and his wife, who spoke excellent English, made our stay feel personal and homely.

Breakfast took a long time to arrive, and all the food was brought out simultaneously, a bit chaotic.

Charco's dining experience is a culinary gem! The poke bowl was an absolute standout, showcasing fresh flavors. Plus, the rooftop garden is perfect for sunset vibes after a hearty meal. Our Superior Double Room was a cozy hideaway with comfortable beds and lovely stone walls that really added charm.

Outdoor dining was amazing, but the room had a strong floral scent.

Charming hotel, cute staff, especially in the bar area where you can unwind with views of the river after a busy day exploring the city, and a delicious breakfast with gluten-free options made our stay enjoyable.

The room was huge, super clean, and had such a chill vibe. We loved the comfy bed and the cool AC. The balcony gave us a nice view of the river. The only bummer was the extra charges for a coffee capsule and bottled water in the room. But honestly, the stay was lovely overall!
